Responsibilities

• Perform tasks on the Housekeeping Checklist, including daily, weekly, and monthly assignments.
• Report when inventory of cleaning supplies/items is low and needs reordering.
• Ensure boxes and other large items are taken to the compactor for disposal.
• Support MAFACT activities as required by the position.
• Train employees new to the position.
• Treat team members with dignity and respect in accordance with the Magna Employee’s Charter and Core Values, ensuring fair treatment and a safe, healthful workplace.
• Support and participate in division and department improvement initiatives through the Continuous Improvement Suggestion Program, sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practices with co-workers.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including IATF 2016:16949, ISO14001 (EMS), MAFACT, and the Employee Handbook.
• Follow MIOSHA and MPTSH safety regulations and policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.). Report unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Leader.
• Comply with designated ISO/14001 responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with MPT’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to mop, shovel, scrub, and work with cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge and compliance with safety procedures and policies.
• Team-oriented work approach.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Excellent attendance and performance record.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
