About the Role
The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas, performing janitorial duties and maintaining a safe, professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule, including janitorial tasks.
- Handle Hazardous Waste responsibilities: collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain its upkeep and care.
- Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
- Report incidents, hazardous conditions, and at-risk behavior to supervisors.
- Comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform repetitive tasks and support team members during staff shortages.
- Follow protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
- Assist shift leads in completing punch-list items.
- Understand customer service expectations and reporting systems.
Requirements
- 3–6 months of training or experience preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- May require a valid driver’s license and completion of all safety and task training certifications.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals, including their safe and efficient use.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay
$15.00–$15.50 per hour.
Schedule
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.
