Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers is dedicated to creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are actively seeking a reliable part-time Custodian who takes pride in maintaining a well-kept facility and understands the important role a clean environment plays in supporting children, families, and educators. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable and committed to helping our early learning community succeed. POSITION DETAIL: Location: Onsite, Lake Orion, MI Regular, part-time (20-25 hours/week)Schedule: Evenings Monday-Thursday 6p-10p, plus one 4-hour shift on the weekend Friday, Saturday or SundayPay starting at $16/hour Responsibilities Our custodians are responsible for keeping the centers clean and in an orderly fashion. You will be required to perform light and heavy-duty cleaning daily to maintain the standard of cleanliness that parents expect for their children. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming Gather and empty trash daily Clean, scrub, and sanitize garbage cans that are soiled Ensure all containers of poisonous or toxic chemicals are clearly labelled and stored away from child areas Clean and stock restrooms daily Nightly; sanitize tables, chairs, counters, bookshelves, floors, sinks, and toilets Must follow OSHA procedures and licensing standards for handling of chemicals and toxic materials Check and dust for cobwebs daily Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED is required Having previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus Must be reliable and punctual Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Willing to complete a background check (conducted by Heartfelt Impressions) Benefits FREE telehealth with board certified doctors available 24/7/365 for all members of your family under the age of 25 Employee Assistance Program for all members of your family under the age of 25Paid Time OffPaid Holidays after 90 daysBirthday benefits Here at Heartfelt we value and respect every member of our Team!
