Custodian

About the role

Fortis Native Group is seeking candidates for a Custodian position. This position is fully onsite and supporting the US Army Corp of Engineers. The Custodian will report to the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Custodial duties for Government contracts, including sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors
• Removing chips, trash, and other refuse
• Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
• Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
• Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• Disinfecting high-touch areas (doorknobs, light switch covers, desktops, etc.)

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Must pass agency and federal background checks, drug screen, and confirmation of authorization to work in the US
• Physical capacity to perform demanding tasks: moving, carrying, storing items, cleaning, dusting, wiping rooms full of furniture, floors, and carpets
• 3–5 years of experience
• Must meet eligibility requirements for access to government computer systems and facilities

Pay

Base wage: $15.35 per hour plus $5.09 per hour Health and Welfare (up to 40 hours per week). The Health and Welfare allocation is used for benefits and can be taken as additional hourly pay, resulting in an effective wage of $20.44 per hour.

Benefits

Health and Welfare contribution of $5.09 per hour (up to 40 hours per week) is provided for employee benefits.
