Custodian

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Replenish restroom and break room supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning products.
• Maintain cleanliness of production support areas while adhering to manufacturing and safety requirements.
• Clean spills and respond promptly to sanitation or housekeeping issues.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned work orders.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals according to OSHA.
• Auxiliary with facility setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects.
• Support company initiatives related to workplace safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
• Report on maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to management.
• Operate custodial equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
• The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely operate custodial equipment.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and cleaning chemicals while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
