About the role

Manatee Elementary, located at 3425 Viera Boulevard, Viera, is seeking a Custodian for the 2027 fiscal year. This is a 12‑month support personnel position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance equipment used on the job
• Pass a physical abilities test
• Valid Florida Driver’s License

Requirements

• Heavy work (H): exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally, 25–50 pounds frequently, or 10–20 pounds constantly to move objects; demands exceed medium work levels.
• Potential environmental conditions/hazards: intermittent light machinery noise and activity level; indoor office environment most often with indoor/outdoor movement between pods/locations frequently; intermittent noise and activity level.
• Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, finger dexterity, talking, hearing, and visual acuity frequently.

Pay

Grade 15, $15.85 per hour.

Schedule

Shift: 1:30 pm – 8:00 pm (6.0 hours per day). 12‑month contract.
