About the role
This is a 10-month, full-time custodial position within the classified support staff pay plan (Grade 15).
Pay
Starting salary: $15.85 per hour.
Schedule
6.0 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment.
- Perform indoor and outdoor cleaning, moving between school pods and locations.
- Engage in frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and tasks requiring finger dexterity, clear speech, hearing, and visual acuity.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance equipment used on the job.
- Pass a physical abilities test.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Physical demands
Heavy work: exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally, 25–50 pounds frequently, and 10–20 pounds constantly to move objects.
Work environment
- Intermittent light machinery noise and varying activity levels.
- Primarily indoor office and classroom settings with frequent indoor/outdoor movement.
