Custodian

About the role

In this role you will maintain clean and orderly conditions of the offices, assembly floor, restrooms, and shop buildings. ATC Automation, a trusted leader since 1977, designs and builds custom automation solutions for industries such as Life Sciences, Transportation, Consumer Products, and General Industry.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum the shop, assembly floor, offices, conference rooms, and restrooms.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Routinely operate the cardboard bailing machine.
• Operate floor and carpet cleaning machines.
• Refill water coolers with bottled water and restock kitchenette supplies.
• Maintain records – cleaning checklist and cleaning supply inventory.
• Provide assistance for special events.
• Perform minor or routine building repairs.
• Assist in general shop and assembly building clean‑ups.
• Lock up the facility each night.

Additional Expectations

• Work schedule outside of normal first‑shift hours may be required.
• Responsibility for securing and enabling the building alarm may be required.
• Effective communication skills in a team environment.
• Other job‑related instructions as required.
• Other job‑related duties as requested.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance in accordance with company policies.
• Stand, walk, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor safely.
• Exert 20–50 lb of force occasionally.
• Exert 10–25 lb of force frequently.
• Exert 5–10 lb of force constantly to move objects.
• Visual acuity: normal vision with or without accommodation.
• Hearing ability: normal.

Working Conditions

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
• High noise levels from operating machines.
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
• Exposure to fumes, dust, mist, oil, fluids, and cleaning chemicals.

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 11:30 am – 8:00 pm.
