About the role

The custodian is responsible for keeping the facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.

Responsibilities

• Keep facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Work independently and multi-task effectively.
• Read and understand MSDS sheets and department directives.
• Handle multiple work priorities simultaneously and work with minimal supervision.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, and walk up and down stairs.
• Use all limbs.
• Communicate effectively with a positive attitude.
• Have excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness.

Requirements

• Evidence of ethical and professional behavior.
• Previous experience as a general custodian.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment and supplies.
• An Oklahoma driver's license if required due to the need to use a personal or university vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School/GED education.
• Experience as a general custodian.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, and walking up and down stairs.
• Use of all limbs.
• Communication skills including reading, writing, and following directives.
• Excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness.

Pay

$11.03 - $12.42 hourly

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 1:00pm-9:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
