Custodial Worker II - Maple Valley
About the role
The custodial team at Missouri School for the Blind supports our school by providing a clean, safe learning and living environment for our students, families, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual tasks in mopping, scrubbing, dusting, polishing and similar custodial tasks.
- Strip, clean, wax, and polish floors.
- Aid in the care of grounds when required.
- Moves equipment, furniture and supplies when necessary.
- Operate various powered equipment (i.e. mechanical scrubbers, polishers, washers) in performance of assigned duties.
- Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms and residential areas.
- Clean contaminated areas using protective clothing, devices and agents as designated.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in custodial work.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- One year experience in custodial work preferred.
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safety protocols.
