About the role
Under general supervision from administrative superior, this position specializes in advanced cleaning methods and/or project work to meet health, safety, regulatory, and customer satisfaction standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe and healthy environments for patients, students, student residents, staff, faculty, and guests in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe and healthy environments for patients, students, student residents, staff, faculty, and guests.
- Document successful completion of department-specific, advanced custodian certification testing (e.g., Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM) S.M.A.R.T. Program).
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and read/write common vocabulary.
- Participate in ongoing Medical Center and Departmental Floor and Carpet Care testing and in-services as required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the custodial worker position within 3 months of employment.
Requirements
- Six months in Custodial Worker 1 title or equivalent experience.
- Documentation of successful completion of department-specific, advanced custodian certification testing.
- Ability to perform basic math operations and read/write common vocabulary.
Qualifications For Hire
- Minimum six months in Custodial Worker 1 title or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of department-specific, advanced custodian certification testing (e.g., Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM) S.M.A.R.T. Program).
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers).
- Read and write common vocabulary.
Skills
- Proficiency in all aspects of the custodial worker position within 3 months of employment.
