Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive cleaning of classrooms, education laboratories, computer rooms, offices, hallways, dormitory/residential, and restroom facilities.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies; cleans spills, drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, walls, fixtures, blinds, and light fixtures.
- Empties trash cans and relines them with liners.
- Sweeps, mops, steam cleans, waxes, polishes, and buffs floors.
- Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs.
- Keeps all buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas clean of debris and litter.
- Ensures appropriate and necessary levels of inventory are on hand at assigned areas; orders necessary supplies and materials, and maintains accurate records of received and distributed items.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A background security investigation will be required for all new hires; appointment is subject to successful completion of the investigation and favorable adjudication.
- Must serve a 2-year trial or 1-year probationary period during which fitness and continued employment will be evaluated.
- Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered under the Military Selective Service Act and the Defense Authorization Act of 1986.
- Valid driver’s license is required, as the incumbent may be required to operate a government-owned or leased motor vehicle as an incidental duty.

- Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints).
