Custodial Worker 1 - PennDOT Winter Maintenance
About the role
Join the Department of Transportation as a Custodial Worker 1 and become an important part of the Pike County team. In this role, you will help create a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors. Your work will support the daily operations of the maintenance office and surrounding grounds.
Responsibilities
- Indoor Cleaning: Clean floors, windows, furniture, restrooms, and fixtures to maintain a safe and tidy workspace
- Outdoor Care: Maintain entrances and grounds by mowing grass, shoveling snow, sweeping walks, and keeping outdoor areas neat
- Waste Removal: Dispose of waste materials properly to support cleanliness and safety
- Maintain plumbing, electrical systems, and building fixtures as needed
- Cookbook with supervisors and coworkers to complete assigned work
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward the traveling public

Benefits
Seasonal full-time employment. Work schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Schedule is subject to change due to weather/season; winter shifts - 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Telework is not available in this position.
