Custodial Worker 1 - Danville State Hospital (3rd Shift)

Responsibilities
- Cleaning Tasks: Perform surface cleaning, remove trash, wash floors, clean fixtures, and complete other housekeeping duties
- Outdoor Care: Sweep steps and ramps, clean entrance areas, and remove snow and ice as needed
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean equipment surfaces, inspect cords and connections, and check for visible defects
- Laundry Support: Assist with the pickup and delivery of laundry items throughout the facility
- Supply Organization: Maintain housekeeping closets, label containers properly, and ensure infection control supplies are stocked
Requirements
- Ability to perform essential job functions
- Medical examination required upon conditional offer
- Satisfactory criminal history reports (PA State Police and FBI clearance) required under the Older Adult Protective Services Act

In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
Schedule
Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Saturday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch from 2:00 AM to 2:30 AM. You will work every other weekend and have rotating days off. Schedule may change based on operational needs. Overtime may be required. Telework is not an option for this position.
