Custodial Technician II

Role Overview: This position involves performing cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks in a high-paced environment to ensure facility cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Include Cleaning high areas such as ceilings, vents, and light fixtures, often requiring ladders or mechanical liftsCleaning carpets, upholstery, and hard floorsSetting up, repairing, and maintaining departmental equipmentReporting any issues, malfunctions, or hazards to managementExecuting standard cleaning procedures like shampooing, stripping, waxing, and burnishing floorsMaintaining cleanliness of work areas and storage spaces Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience; prior janitorial experience preferredAttention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and good verbal/interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work efficiently, follow safety protocols, learn chemical and equipment use, and interact professionally with guests and staff Physical & Environmental Demands Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, twist, and lift over 25 poundsPerform repetitive motions and operate equipment, including climbing ladders to work at high elevationsWork in noisy, dusty, chemical-fumed environments with exposure to public, including handling hazardous materials and cleaning bodily fluidsFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and handle challenging interactions
