Custodial Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Performs all assignments related to the Facilities Department as defined by written work orders and verbal directives from the Custodial Supervisor and/or other members of the leadership team.
• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (ex. dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning).
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Cooperate and collaborate with all coworkers.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Makes meetings with supervisor as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties

• For Floor Tech Include:
• Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas and other areas
• Moving furniture before and after cleaning
• Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping and waxing floors
• Measuring chemicals correctly
• Operating chemical dispensing units and labeling chemicals correctly
• Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently
• Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties
• Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• An associate’s degree or certification from a trade school preferred.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience in housekeeping preferred.
• A current TB test within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
