About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Curtain Installer and Designer to join our team at Meredith Lee. In this role, you will work closely with clients to create custom curtain solutions that enhance the aesthetic and functionality of their spaces. From selecting the perfect fabric to professional installation, you will ensure each project meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their design preferences, functional needs, and budget for curtains.
• Recommend fabric choices, styles, and treatments (e.g., ripplefold, sheer, blockout) based on room aesthetics and practical requirements.
• Measure windows, walls, and spaces accurately to ensure precise fitting and a flawless finish.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source high-quality fabrics and materials.
• Install curtains professionally, ensuring they are hung correctly (e.g., close to the ceiling for a dramatic effect) and function as intended.
• Provide design advice to clients, such as using curtains to create the illusion of height or width, or to conceal unsightly window frames.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current trends in curtain design, including popular styles like ripplefold (s-fold or wave) and sheer fabrics.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, protecting the client’s investment in their home décor.

Requirements

• Proven experience in curtain design, fabrication, or installation.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, styles, and treatments (e.g., sheer, blockout, ripplefold).
• Excellent measurement and spatial awareness skills to ensure precise fitting.
• Ability to provide creative design solutions tailored to client needs.
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills for client consultations.
• Experience working with quality manufacturers and suppliers.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
