Curtain Wall Designer

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience in the design of curtain wall assemblies and windows
• Knowledge and experience in the design of exterior cavity walls
• Project Manager experience in charge of projects from Design Phase through Construction Phase including construction drawings and specification generation in either an architectural firm or engineering firm
• Ability to work with clients and other consulting staff to develop new architectural details and/or remedial details and specifications for roofing systems
• Well organized and good at keeping and maintaining both electronic and hardcopy files
• Ability to work outdoors doing field verification of existing conditions to develop construction documents
• Ability to perform activities such as climb stairs and ladders, carry and work with tools
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, and Bluebeam
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check(s) to obtain access to secure facilities

Considered a Plus but Not Required

• Registration (or working toward registration) as a Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC) and/or a Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO) with IIBEC
• Experience with REVIT
