Curriculum System Designer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, improve, implement, evaluate, and manage NEXWDC courses to meet advanced expeditionary training requirements in accordance with PADDIE methodology.
• Ensure the principles of ISD are being followed throughout the curriculum development process.
• Organize/facilitate NEXWDC course offerings throughout the fiscal year.
• Instruct course curriculum as necessary.
• Provide support to advance level assessment of NECC forces during certification events such as NECC Integrated Exercises or Fleet Exercises.
• Provide miscellaneous support to NEXWDC exercise planning and execution as required.

Education

A high school diploma is required, with a college degree preferred.

Experience

Possess a minimum of ten years of U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Army service-level (active or Civil Service) experience in military training and education; instructional design, development and planning; and educational evaluation experience. Former experience in Instructional Systems Design.

Working Conditions

Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus. Be able to lift 15 pounds.

Special Position Notations

• Occasional travel may be required.
• Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
• Daily travel in local area during work day (including use of personal vehicle).

Security Clearance

A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
