About the role

The position is in-person with the option for remote working days (up to 2 days per week).

Responsibilities

  • Works under the supervision of the Assistant Registrar to provide timely information and actions on scheduling, enrollment, curriculum management, and other pertinent course and student record information.
  • Affirms registrar core functions such as course and event scheduling, workflow management in the Coursedog scheduling platform, general assignment classroom facilities and maintenance, curriculum audits, and student enrollment requirements and activities.
  • Aids in the course approval process and creation and setup of classes (including the creation of new classes, course revisions, and the set up of enrollment requirements).
  • Provides routine guidance and information to students (current, prospective, and former), parents, faculty, and / or staff regarding scheduling, enrollment, registration, grading, degree and student record, policies, procedures, classroom reservation scheduling, facility/maintenance, and regulations.
  • Maintains and develops campus communications and resource materials.
  • Participates in testing processes regarding the development and maintenance of curriculum and scheduling systems. Identifies opportunities for improved internal practices and procedures.
  • Consults with experienced level staff and / or faculty when reviewing more complex curriculum, facilities, systems, or student records issues. Provides general guidance and training to internal and department staff related to scheduling and curriculum processes and tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Working knowledge of policies, regulations, and practices with student records services.
  • Ability to apply working knowledge of policies to individual situations in a diverse learning community.
  • Problem identification and critical thinking skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Active listening skills and verbal communication skills.

Budgeted Salary: $32.00 - $34.00/Hourly.

Schedule

  • The selected candidate will be required to complete training within established time frames as directed including UC compliance training.

The selected candidate will ensure that sensitive information is properly safeguarded. The selected candidate will follow all organizational policies and laws on data protection and privacy. This includes secure handling of physical and digital records and proper usage of IT systems to prevent data leaks.
