About the role

The ideal candidate will supervise the custody, control, and security of all vault items, receive, verify, document, and account for vault items, maintain inventory, manage daily vault operations, communicate with clients, assist in locating cash discrepancies, prepare outgoing orders, complete and record daily vault balancing, participate in policy and procedure development, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the custody, control, and security of all vault items
• Receive, verify, document and account for vault items
• Maintain inventory of vault items, including multiple vaults
• Supervise daily vault operations including inventory management, opening, and closing of vault, check-in and check-out
• Communicate with clients on vault needs and request orders through the Federal Reserve Bank
• Absorb and assist in locating cash discrepancies and more complex tasks
• Prepare outgoing orders for fulfillment, and prepare next day operations
• Complete and record daily vault balancing in accordance with company policy
• Participate with the Branch Manager in development and implementation of policy and procedures
• Absorb and assist in daily cash operations, including deposit verification, inventory management, and opening and closing procedures
• Coordinate daily processing needs, and observe productivity in cash processing
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience with cash handling
• Accurate, detail-oriented, and a team player
• Enjoy being on your feet, juggling multiple priorities, and having a high attention to detail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Minimum of two years of experience in the financial industry, sales and service, security, or the equivalent combination of training and experience
• Minimum of two years of cash handling
• Strong knowledge of Currency Processing and Bank Operation for processing procedures is preferred
