About the role
The position is for a Cuoca/O di bordo for the boats Caprice and L'Estello. The role requires culinary skills, but also availability to assist the captain during navigation and in case of emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Preparation, cooking, and presentation of delicious and high-quality food.
- Responsible for creating the menu, selecting ingredients, managing orders from suppliers, preparing dishes, and directing the work of the assistant cook.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety regulations to ensure guest and crew health.
Requirements
- Experience as a cook or chef.
- Teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and ingredients.
- Knowledge and respect for hygiene and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English and French for working with the onboard team and international guests.
Qualifications
- Additional points if you have worked in the tourism sector.
- Professional experiences on other vessels.
Benefits
Aboard the boats Caprice or L'Estello in Provence and Camargue, southern France. You will also live aboard in a crew cabin.
Pay
Fixed-term contract from March to October.
