Cultural Survey Participant
About the Role
EXP, an award-winning international engineering firm, is seeking a Cultural Survey Participant in the SD region. Participants from interested Tribes will accompany cultural field crews during the inventory phase of the proposed Midwest Carbon Express Project to provide local/Tribal input and knowledge to the field studies.
Responsibilities
- Attend daily morning tailgate meetings (failure to attend will result in loss of work for that day).
- Accompany each archaeological crew and report directly to the archaeological Crew Chief.
- Use Project field report forms for all documentation and recommendations.
- At the end of each workday, photograph completed report forms and submit them to the supervisor for incorporation into the Project’s daily reporting.
- Check in with the supervisor at the end of each workday.
Requirements
- Complete all Project safety training prior to the start of fieldwork.
- Abide by Company and Project-specific safety rules, including wearing applicable personal protective equipment at all times while on the Project ROW and/or facility sites.
Schedule
The typical work schedule is six days on and one day (Sunday) off. For shorter field efforts, the schedule may vary. Surveys may not be continuous due to weather, field conditions, or lack of land access.
