Culinary Cook - Part Time - 10a-7p Shift - Fargo Senior Living Apartments

Eventide Fargo Senior Living Apartments in south Fargo, ND (near Scheels Arena) is seeking a part-time Culinary Cook for the 10a-7p shift, including every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

About the role

The Culinary Cook is responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food served to residents, complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards while following established food production programs and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and techniques.
• Uses and directs the use of accurate portion control standards.
• Ensures sanitary conditions are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
• Checks all menus daily to verify necessary items are prepared as needed.
• Stores leftovers properly according to food handling standards.
• Operates equipment correctly, safely, sanitarily, and respectfully.
• Supervises the entire dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Checks and documents temperatures of food products in the temperature log.
• Cleans equipment and work area to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Completes cleaning tasks as assigned according to schedule.
• Inventories and orders food products to maintain adequate stock.
• Oversees catering events, ensuring quality, safety, and presentation of meals.
• Organizes and plans work schedules to meet meal serving times.
• Prioritizes and shifts workload in the event of staff shortages.
• Directs servers to deliver timely meal service.
• Interacts with staff to address immediate concerns or problems.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous culinary experience is preferred.

Pay

Competitive starting pay range of $18.50–$20.17 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions.
