Culinary Assistant / Server / Dishwasher

Eventide Care Center in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server / Dishwasher to work full time from 8a-4:30p, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Essential Functions

• Offers and serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
• Follows portion control size standards.
• Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties.
• Operates equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
• Prepares various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Monitors daily menu items in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
• Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
• Organizes and plans work schedule to meet times for serving.
• Operates dish machine according to directions. Pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils.
• Affixes labels to food items as directed.
• Affixes labels to food items as directed.
• Assists in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

• Basic computer skills.

Pay

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $16-17.92 for Culinary Assistants per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.

Schedule

Full-time position from 8a-4:30p, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
