Culinary Assistant / Server

Job Details
Eventide Care Center in Jamestown, ND is seeking a PRN Culinary Assistant / Server to work as needed, including weekends and holidays. The position involves providing meal service to residents/tenants under sanitary conditions and in a respectful, timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Offers and serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
• Follows portion control size standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties.
• Operates equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
• Prepares various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook.
• Maintains daily menu items to ensure all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
• Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
• Organizes and plans work schedule to meet serving times.
• Operates dish machine according to directions.
• Pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils.
• Affords assistance in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.

• Competitive starting pay range of $16-17.92 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location.
