Culinary Assistant (Lead) at Trails of Orono Assisted Living

Trails of Orono, a Lifespark Senior Living Community in Orono, MN, is located in a serene, wooded setting just west of Minneapolis and next to the Luce Line Trail. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our apartment-style community providing Assisted Living and Memory Care services.

About the role

As a Lead Culinary Assistant, you will assist in the preparation, distribution, and supply of food and dishes to residents, families, and staff while creating an environment that promotes resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Set up room trays and tables in the dining room, serve and bus trays, pour and cover beverages, and assist in preparing and covering food.
• Transport carts to appropriate areas and deliver trays when applicable.
• Deliver nourishments and snacks appropriately.
• Maintain a steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes.
• Soak, scrub, scrape, and wash soiled dishes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and employees.
• Advanced computer skills.

Pay

$15.50 - $20.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, 1.0 AM shift (7:30 AM - 2:00 PM), with willingness to work some PM shifts if needed.
