About the role
The Culinary Aide in Assisted Living is responsible for preparing and serving meals to residents in a compassionate and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with meal planning and food preparation as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members regarding meal times and dietary restrictions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food service or related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Skills
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and appliances.
