As a CTSS Behavioral Health Practitioner you will work in our Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) program, delivering community-based rehabilitative services to children/adolescents and/or their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally responsive mental-health skills to clients and/or their families (if working with children) in the home, community, and/or school.
• Assist clients in identifying goals for functional improvement and work with them to meet those goals.
• Design and implement treatment/intervention in-home reflective of client needs.
• Receive clinical supervision from a qualified staff and obtain continuing-education units.

Requirements

You must be qualified in at least one of the following ways:

• Meet the Behavioral Health Practitioner requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.04:
  • Hold a Master’s degree or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields, or
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields AND 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental-health services to people with mental illness.

  Candidates who have completed a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields, may qualify and are encouraged to apply regardless of whether they have 2,000 hours of experience.

• Have 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental-health services to people with mental illness.
• Meet the Clinical Trainee requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.06:
  • Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental-health professional.
• Meet the Mental Health Professional requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.02:
  • Licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in Minnesota.

Additionally, you must:

• Desire to work with children and families in their homes; this includes walking, stairs, and the ability to crouch, stoop, sit on floors, and stand for periods of time.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable vehicle, and ability to drive a minimum 30-mile radius around the primary clinic location.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• If working with children/adolescents and families, commit to a late-afternoon/early-evening schedule (2:00–8:00 pm CST).

Pay

Non-exempt position. Total earnings range from $22.00–$23.00 hourly, based on licensure, experience, skill set, internal equity, schedule, and location. Estimate is factored on a 1.0 FTE.
