CTE TEACHER - BUSINESS AND MARKETING

About the role

This position is for the 26/27 school year. External applicants will be considered after the internal bidding process is completed. Internal candidates should follow the provided link to bid on this position.

Responsibilities

• Teach Business and Marketing courses aligned with Vcodes 521400, 520701, and 521801.
• Advise a CTE Student Organization (CTSO).
• Attend advisory meetings and submit required CTE documentation.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements.
• Have 3 years of full-time occupational experience-based endorsements in Business and Marketing.
• Apply for the Residency Teacher certificate or add the endorsement to your teacher certificate.
• Pass the basic skills test and content knowledge test to obtain the Residency Teacher certificate or endorsement.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer certifications.
• Pass criminal background fingerprinting with WSP and FBIS.
• Successfully complete OSPI required training.
• Be willing to support CTSO engagement and complete all CTE documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 professional references from current and former supervisors, including email addresses.
• Current PEA employee with a Continuing or Provisional contract may bid internally.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsements.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2000 hours of occupational experience other than teaching.
• Must have the necessary Vcodes to teach the specified courses.

Skills

• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with CTE Student Organizations (CTSO).
