CTAE Business and Entrepreneurship Teacher for Horizon Academy for the 2026-2027 School Year

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of business and entrepreneurship to lead students to gain skills and understanding of the principles needed to pursue a career in business and/or entrepreneurship.
• Lead students to the acquisition industry recognized certifications in business and entrepreneurship.
• Make industry connections promoting service learning, cooperative education, and work-based learning opportunities for the students.
• Aid students as an advisor for student organizations and participation in business and entrepreneurship competitions.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to individual differences in students.
• Develop lesson plans and plan lessons in a logical sequence.
• Collaborate with other educators to create the most complete educational environment possible for students.
• Administer group standardized tests as required.
• Utilize various assessment techniques and/or models to evaluate student performance.
• Utilize technology and devices as a tool in the teaching and learning process.
• Participate in school and district professional development in order to support school improvement and support student learning.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
• Enforce rules and regulations as stated in the teacher and student handbook.
• Adhere to policies and procedures established by district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required
• G.A. Teaching Certification in related content area
