About the role
Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
- Start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
- Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
- Release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
- Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology (preferred).
- Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
- Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children’s healthcare services. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
