Job Overview Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at our Riverside University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 11PM - 7AM with weekends as needed. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience. The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT). Responsibilities Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomesPerforms individualized, compassionate patient carePerforms high quality examinationsIdentifies relevant data from images accuratelyUses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professionalParticipates in creating a culture of patient safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparednessVerify patient identification and documentationCommunicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocolApplies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing proceduresEnsures patient data integrityAdheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/proceduresAccurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes Required Qualifications ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more years of experience in a related rolePrevious ambulatory care experience preferred.Additional certifications in ImagingARRT CT certification or successful completion within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yrs Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
