CT Technologist - Radiology

About the role

The CT Technologist at St. Vincent's Medical Center performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. They also participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Responsibilities

• Select correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross-sectional images.
• Assist the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant during complex invasive CT examinations using proper sterile technique.

Requirements

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
