CT Technologist (PRN)

Role Summary: The CT Technologist delivers high-quality imaging services at Cobb Hospital, ensuring patient safety and comfort. They operate imaging equipment independently, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department protocols, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and dose.Maintain infection control, clean and disinfect equipment, and report issues promptly.Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients accurately before exams.Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and provide age-appropriate care.Position patients correctly, administer contrast, and ensure safety measures like shielding and immobilization.Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as needed, and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment and supplies.Coordinate workflows, support operational compliance, and communicate effectively with team members. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS.
