CT Technologist - Part-Time Weekends

About the Role

This position involves operating CT equipment and medical devices to produce diagnostic scans, providing quality patient care during radiology procedures, and ensuring proper preparation and documentation. The role requires maintaining safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, assisting with patient education, and supporting complex technical care and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and injectors for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Prepare patients with sterile techniques and ensure their readiness for procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and document all aspects of care accurately.
• Maintain equipment operation and stay informed about device uses.
• Assist with research activities and act as a resource for students and junior staff.
• Support patient and family education and provide quality care throughout procedures.
• Perform related duties as needed, including planning multiple diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registered.
• CPR and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of experience, with at least one year in CT; advanced certification preferred.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, and close eye work.
• Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to bio-hazardous materials, radiation, and other hazards.
