About the role
CT Technologist responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) procedures to aid in patient diagnosis, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform all types of CT studies, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring radiation safety.
- Operate CT equipment and support systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and teleradiography, evaluating image quality.
- Properly position patients, select technical factors, and perform venipuncture as needed.
- Care for patients of all ages, maintaining confidentiality and effective communication with medical staff and patients.
- Coordinate exams, handle scheduling, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and disinfect equipment, ensure work area supplies are stocked, and report equipment issues.
- Access and administer drugs relevant to the role following procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate from a radiologic technology program with current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certification in CT required within 24 months of hire.
- Valid state medical radiographer license and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
