Major Responsibilities
- Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
- Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
- Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
- Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
- Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
- Affords assistance in maintaining an orderly inventory and in arranging the purchase of needed supplies.
- Affords assistance with other job-related duties including urgent exam requests and scheduling.
- Under the direction of a Radiologist or Emergency Room Physician, performs CT exams using contrast media according to department policy and procedures.
- Will establish IV access for contrast injection according to department policy and procedure.
- Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support.
Position Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications/Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited radiological program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Experience/Skills: Required: Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to product optimum results. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

- Often: Bending, Reaching, Grasping, Performing Repetitive Movements, High Level of Stress; Carrying – Less than 10 pounds to 50 pounds.
- Never: Climbing, Balancing, Kneeling, Crawling, Working Outdoors, Working in Temperature Extremes, and Working at Heights; Carrying – 50 pounds to Over 100 pounds.
