CT Technologist II

About the role

Join Novant Health as they expand access to exceptional care with the opening of their new Summers Corner Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED). This role offers exposure to a wide variety of advanced imaging procedures and patient populations in a dynamic acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Works in inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and operating room procedures including biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

Requirements

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
• Applicable state license, required.

Qualifications

• Analytical ability.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient.
• Able to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.

Skills

• Prepares patient for procedures.
• Operates CT equipment.
