Performs routine radiographic procedures and special computerized tomography procedures consistent with established quality standards and the needs of the patient.
Responsibilities
- Confers with the supervisor to report problems relative to equipment, staffing, and productivity and makes recommendations relative to them.
- Performs daily quality assurance testing on CT unit and emergency equipment and maintains appropriate records as required by department procedure.
- Obtains pertinent clinical data prior to diagnostic examination, supervises the preparation of patients, and records significant data.
- Ensures efficient patient flow through scanner area through effective scheduling and assignment of responsibility.
- Ensures appropriate storage and routing of supplies in the CT area; monitors supplies and reports shortages as required.
- Maintains daily activities log and procedures manual, compiles data, and issues monthly report as required.
- Participates in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service activities as requested; demonstrates CT equipment and procedures as needed.
- Consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service as instructed in the ICARE service excellence framework.
- Assists physician in emergency situations and adverse contrast reactions.
- Participates in orientation of new personnel and development of in-services and cross-training programs when opportunities arise.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in an AMA-approved educational institution.
- A minimum of one year as a radiologic technologist and either one year of CT experience or successful completion of an in-house CT cross-training program.
Qualifications
- Current Registry in specific Imaging Modality (ARRT or ARDMS).
- Licensed in the State of Maryland.
- Maintains current license, CMEs, and participates in applicable educational activities as per regulatory requirements.

Pay
$42—$60 USD per hour.
