About the Role
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis, also performing general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across various age groups, from adolescence to geriatric.
Responsibilities
- Produces high-quality images and reformatted views for radiologist interpretation.
- Transfers images using PACS and teleradiology systems, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and manages supply inventory.
- Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information, adhering to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiologic technology and CT (Required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
- Preferred certifications include advanced CT certification, fluoroscopy license, and venipuncture.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred.
