About the role

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is a healthcare provider established in 1956, comprising a 50-bed acute care medical center, a level IV trauma center, an intensive care nursery, extensive physical rehabilitation programs, an outpatient surgery and diagnostic center, and an advanced wound care center. Located in Ukiah, a charming small town known for its rich culture, arts, vineyards, and natural beauty, the area offers 300 days of sunshine annually and is conveniently situated two hours north of San Francisco and 45 minutes from the Pacific Coast.

Responsibilities

  • Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Performs a variety of imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
  • Affords assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients ranging from adolescents to the elderly.
  • Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information.
  • Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment and manages supply inventory.
  • Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
  • Performs venipuncture as needed.
  • Manages and maintains a secure environment for patient medical images and data.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)), Advanced Certification in CT, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Fluoroscopy license in state of employment, Venipuncture certification (IV).
  • Organizational Requirements: Adventist Health requires all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Skills

  • Proficiency with PACS and teleradiology systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of imaging modalities.

The estimated base pay for this position is $48.16 to $66.05. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
