About the role
The technologist conducts procedures to provide data to assist in the diagnosis of patients.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in the performance of CT scans assessment and reassessment and implementation of the patient's orders in accordance with the department and organizational standards and policies
- Completes patient documentation specific to CT scans
- Assists Physicians and Radiologist during procedures
- Performs CT scans in a timely and efficient manner
- Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed
- Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed
- Performs all computer and PACS functions
- Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff
- Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures
- Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities
Qualifications
- Technical degree or vocational training
- Prefer at least 1 year of CT experience
- ARRT(R) or ARRT (N)(CT)
- MRT
- BLS obtained by HCA approved vendor
Schedule
Full Time 32 hrs/wk - Fri 12p-830p, Sat & Sun 645a-715p
Requirements
- Must be able to be on an on-call status and respond within thirty (30) minutes of notification
- Must be able to work at the main facility, Saginaw FSED, and Haslet FSED, depending on department needs
