Responsibilities
- Administer both oral and IV contrast
- Evaluate patients for any allergic reactions
- Place correct IV for the exam being performed
- Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
- Perform exams as requested by ordering physicians and under the guidelines set by the standards of the Diagnostic Imaging Department
- Operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-CT)
- Computed Tomography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date (ARRT-R)
- Radiography Vocational School Graduate
