Responsibilities
- Produces high-quality computed tomography exams with optimum diagnostic images while ensuring professional patient care.
- Applies precise positioning techniques and accurate technical settings; monitors equipment for proper functioning.
- Maintains constant mental attention during studies and adheres to proper sterile technique.
- Demonstrates capability to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships aligned with Holy Cross Health’s Mission.
- Operates imaging equipment to capture designated body areas under Radiologist supervision.
- Supports mission philosophy and policies of Holy Cross Health and the Medical Imaging Department.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and organizational information; adheres to standard precautions.
- Completes annual mandatory training, in-services, competency documentation, and other required departmental documents.
- Identifies and addresses care needs of diverse patient populations (neonates, infants, pediatric, adults, geriatric).
- Participates in quality assessment, improvement programs, and departmental staff meetings.
- Assists in orienting new staff and completes additional duties as assigned (e.g., on-call, patient transport, room cleaning, supply stocking, peer review).
- Works in a team environment, completing cross-modality duties as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of a JRC/ERT-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English.
- One year of CT Scan experience preferred.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed by the State of Maryland as a Radiographer.
- CPR Certified (American Heart Association).
- Registered Computed Tomography (CT) certification (preferred) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) with post-primary ARRT CT and MD State Licensure.
- Documentation to practice on a dedicated CT scanner and training in diagnostic CT exams.
Pay
Pay Range: $37.18 - $55.77 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the equivalent base salary of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary by location.
