About the Role
Performs computerized tomography procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Assumes responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during diagnostic procedures.

Requirements
- Graduate of a formal program in Radiology Technology in a JRCERT-approved school
- Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current advanced certification in Computerized Tomography or must complete advanced registry within one year of hire date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- ARRT certification with two years as a registered technologist
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in CT
Responsibilities
- Complete all necessary worksheets, patient records, and documentation
- Process scans and related functions as needed
- Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
- Administer intravenous contrast media, including use of power injectors
- Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if a reaction occurs
- Perform a wide range of computerized tomography procedures
- Operate CT equipment, power injectors, PACS, RIS systems, and process films
- Assist physicians in performing procedures in the procedure room
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with all customers to preserve optimal quality of care
- Provide on-call coverage in the Computerized Tomography area as needed
- Perform general nursing duties to meet patient needs if required
- Perform clerical duties related to patient chart documentation, radiology files, billing, and processing of images into PACS and conventional filming
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, and Code of Ethics
