About the Role
A CT Technologist II performs high-quality, safe CT imaging in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute clinical CT procedures across diverse patient populations, selecting appropriate technical factors and adhering to radiation safety principles.
- Administer contrast and assist with invasive CT-guided procedures following facility protocols.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, training, and departmental workflows to enhance patient care and safety.
- Maintain a clean, sterile work environment; prepare patients and equipment; and ensure proper operation through quality control.
- Communicate effectively with patients, verifying orders, providing education, and ensuring comfort and understanding during procedures.
- Document activities accurately, process images promptly, and support patient flow and care coordination.
- Uphold professional standards, ethical practices, and organizational values, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Associate degree or accredited radiologic technology certificate.
- ARRT(R) in Radiography and CT or NMTCB(CT) certification required.
- Less than 1 year to 6 months of CT experience or completion of a CT training program preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification upon hire.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and patient positioning.
- Basic computer skills.
