About the Role
The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures under physician supervision, utilizing advanced equipment to assist in diagnosing medical conditions across all age groups.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic and interventional CT studies.
- Practice radiation safety and use sterile techniques when necessary.
- Ensure optimal imaging through proper patient positioning, technical adjustments, and venipuncture.
- Operate CT systems and review patient history via computer systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate exams within the department and with other units.
- Perform scheduling and equipment maintenance.
- Administer relevant medications in accordance with procedures.
Requirements
- Current radiologic technology certification.
- CT certification within 24 months of hire.
- Valid state license.
- CPR certification.
