About the role
RAYUS Radiology is challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Join our team as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist and help us shine brighter together. This is a temporary (PRN) position, working 8 or 10 hour shifts on requested days.
Responsibilities
- Patient CT Imaging (90%)
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately for the scan.
- Perform routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated body parts for physician diagnosis and treatment, with minimal supervision or repeats.
- Provide patient support by talking to patients throughout the procedure.
- Adjust scan parameters as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques appropriately.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
- CT/Imaging Department Support (5%)
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist with training new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
- Complete other tasks as assigned (5%).
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently.
Qualifications
Preferred: Certification in imaging specialty, bilingual.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00 per hour based on direct and relevant experience.
