About the role
The CT Technologist performs a variety of CAT Scan procedures, prioritizing patient care and quality.
Responsibilities
- Position patients for CAT Scan procedures
- Prepare and maintain CT equipment
- Administer contrast agents under radiologist supervision
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed
- Assist physicians during examinations
- Maintain supply inventory and order as needed
- Schedule procedures and manage patient flow
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment
- Document procedures using RIS, HIS, and PACS systems
- Instruct students and provide clinical guidance
- Attend in-service training and continuing education
- Follow sterile techniques and infection control standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiography program
- ARRT or CRT certification
- New Jersey state license
Qualifications
- At least three years of hospital-based CT or radiology experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

- Technical proficiency in CT imaging and related equipment
- Strong attention to radiation safety and quality control protocols
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
